As temperatures gradually drop and summer draws to a close, there's still time to enjoy the refreshing taste of cold coffee, which remains a favorite choice for many.
In this post, we'll share several easy and unique recipes for preparing cold coffee at home, so you can enjoy the rich and refreshing flavors that add the perfect finishing touch to the summer season.
In the first recipe, we will use the V60, one of the most popular and widely used specialty coffee brewing tools.
We will need:
22 grams of coffee - 130 grams of ice - 180 grams of water at 90 degrees
Preparation steps:
- We start with the first pour of 50 grams of water, then we start the timer.
- At 1:00, we continue pouring until we reach 115 grams.
- At 1:30, continue pouring until we reach 185 grams.
The suggested coffee extraction time is from 1:45 to 2:00. You'll get a refreshing cup with clear, balanced flavors. This recipe is also easy to make and produces consistent, repeatable results.
We recommend for this recipe the Ethiopian Konga crop - a quarter kilo
Note: If the extraction time is shorter or longer than desired, you can adjust the grind. For longer time, finer the grind, and for shorter time, coarser the grind.
Our second recipe is for a drink that will captivate espresso lovers with its distinctive texture. "Fredo Espresso" is a Greek drink with a creamy texture and high foam that mimics the texture of nitro.
All we will need:
18 grams of coffee extracts 36 ml in 25 to 33 seconds
70 grams of ice
40 grams of ice for serving
We recommend for this recipe the Ethiopian Konga crop - a quarter kilo
