Some might think that coffee's nuances are simply flavors added to coffee, but this isn't true. Coffee nuances encompass a wide range of complex flavors and aromas that can be perceived while tasting coffee. These nuances are influenced by the coffee beans themselves, the degree of roasting, the region where they were grown, and the brewing process. In this post, we'll explore the world of coffee nuances, how to understand them, and how to choose the coffee that best suits your taste based on them.
The roaster often describes the harvest in three descriptive words. In some cases, these descriptions can be so strange, unusual, contradictory, or even conflicting that the harvest doesn't seem harmonious or good. Conversely, in many cases, despite the contradictory suggestions, you'll end up with a delicious cup of coffee. The roaster is trying to convey something about the taste of the coffee to you through these words.
What we can't do is know your personal preferences and what you truly like. But what we can do is understand some things you might not like and offer some guidance in that regard.
The sensation of acidity is an important aspect of the coffee tasting process. Some people do not want any acidity in their coffee; the idea of acidic coffee is disgusting to them, and that's perfectly fine.
If you prefer low-acid crops, or as they are described, classic crops, then the matter is very simple.
If the crop description did not contain any fruit words, or at least one fruity connotation, then its acidity is expected to be very low.
There are other people who want all the acidity in their coffee; they want it to be bright, juicy, and wonderful.
How can we help you here?
You should look for fruity words in general; if you see words about fresh fruit in the description, then this coffee will contain a reasonable amount of acidity.
If you see the words citrus fruits in the description, then the coffee will contain a high level of acidity.
From the following image, you will be able to analyze the crop's suggestion and determine whether it will suit you or not.
